Amplus Solar has placed a solar EPC order with Jakson Green, the new energy transition platform supported by India’s Jakson Group.

Jakson Green will produce a state-of-the-art solar power plant on a turnkey EPC basis for Amplus Solar in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India, within 8.5 months of the partnership’s inception. The project will employ over 3,000 single-axis trackers and over 224,448 540Wp monocrystalline bifacial solar modules. The plant, when completed, will be the size of 386 football fields, the size of Lusail stadium, and is expected to offset about 3.1 million tonnes of CO2 each year, the equivalent of eliminating 558,100 gasoline-powered cars from the road. The project is expected to deliver power to leading commercial and industrial customers on a long-term basis, adding to the country’s corporate push to adopt green energy.
